Me, Myself And I
Welcome to my blog!
HEY, HELLO AND THANK YOU FOR DROPPING BY! Whether you are from my Facebook, Instagram or Twitter family or you discovered my website accidentally, you are probably wondering who I am. Well fear not, all your questions are about to be answered!
My name is Theresa Vogrin, I am 21 years old and guess what - I am a writer. I write poetry, prose and articles about love, life, distance, friendship, family, feelings and all things in-between.
I am also a reader. I like Fantasy and Science-Fiction books, love stories, modern poetry and the occasional classic novel. Do you want to know what books I have read and what I am currently reading? Then find me on Goodreads (I just set up my profile, so I am still adding books that I have read years ago). I am always looking for new books, so if you have any recommendations, just get in touch with me!
What else can I tell you about me?
I am a (day) dreamer who loves turtles, unicorns, hamsters, the colour light green and some people more than she should. Besides writing and reading, I enjoy cooking, baking and talking (way too much, if I do say so myself).
Probably one of the most exciting things I have done in the short twenty-one years of my life is moving from my home country Austria to the United Kingdom in 2014 to study Creative Writing. It has been an amazing journey so far and I am loving every minute of it.
I often travel between Austria and the UK, so a big part of my life is packing suitcases, worrying that I miss planes, discovering a whole new culture and thinking about distance, which is why in the future, you might find a lot about my life in two countries on this blog.
I almost forgot one very important details about me:
I am very emotional. Let's just say, you probably won't meet many people in your life who are as emotional as I am. Being friends with me is like taking a ride on an emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes my mood changes in a matter of seconds and I don't even know why. I am stubborn and always slightly confused about things, about life, people and what's going on around me.
I have a hard time controlling my feelings but because I feel everything so very deeply, I am able to write the way I do. All the emotions I feel eventually end up in my poetry. It is easy for me to imagine how other people feel which is why I can capture their emotions so well with my words.
So now that you know a little more about me, I want to get to know you! What brought you here? Do you read my poetry? What is your favourite book?
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours, Theresa xxx
